This is the personal website of a software engineer and human being. I am currently shifting how I exist on the internet and, I suppose, in the world.

There's a particular bend in a particular trail where all of a sudden everything is dappled light and the bobbing red heads of Aquilegia formosa and shimmering, crystal-clear water pouring over granite sand. A part of me never leaves, and is always asking -- what does it mean to respect these places?

If you've got an idea for how the software engineer part of me can be more respectful of place, please let me know. I've never been interested in image recognition software for its own sake, but tell me we need less manual ways of counting salmon populations and I get interested in what it can actually do real fast.

In the meantime, I’m always looking for a good book on process management, economics, probability, history, or whatever other topic I’m pursuing now.
